Everything was absolutely perfect from beginning to end. Every detail felt carefully thought out: beautiful high-quality hotels, delicious and varied food, and truly exceptional guides. Shoieb and ... d Ahmed were not only highly professional, but also deeply passionate. Their explanations brought every place to life, and they were always ready to answer even the smallest question with patience and care. They made the experience so much richer and more meaningful. The archaeological sites are simply breathtaking, but the true jewel of this journey was the cruise on the Nile. Sailing on the Dahabieh—a stunning traditional wooden boat—was like stepping into another world. The cabins were spacious and comfortable, the crew endlessly kind and attentive, and every meal prepared on board was fresh, generous, and absolutely delicious. But what will stay with me forever is the feeling of gliding along the Nile, carried by its gentle, timeless rhythm. In those moments, it truly felt as if time had stopped—peaceful, magical, almost unreal. We are deeply grateful to Terre d’Egypte for such a flawless organisation, and especially to Yasmine, who took such great care of us. She anticipated every need and ensured that everything ran perfectly. Thanks to her, this journey was not just a trip—it was a truly magical, unforgettable experience.

A good experience

I researched several cruise companies. I wanted to sail on a dahabiya and not one of those awful Viking or Norwegian monstrosities. I communicated very well with the TE rep, Samar. She is an angel. ... . Very patient. She crafted a trip exactly to my specifications. They took care of me on land and water. The whole time we communicated in English. I looked very quickly on Trip Advisor and Google, and saw all the hundreds of thousands of 5 star reviews TE received. So, I felt confident booking with TE. It was only after I paid and the trip was quickly approaching did I realize the TE is a French company. It caters to French speakers. It was too late to get a refund. Samar took care to book me my own English speaking tour guides. I got 1 x 1 personal attention from my guides. Luckily, I also took French in school and still remembered a bit so I made friends on the cruise. It also helped that the French guests were all so lovely, friendly and patient. The food is just ok. Good thing I don't each much. There was a maybe a couple of times that the meal was outstanding. Once, my guide and I had lunch on the boat by ourselves without the rest of the group. The chef made an Egyptian dish call mashi. It was outstanding. But otherwise, the group meals are nothing to write home about. It's just for fuel and not pleasure. The crew was lovely and helpful. I tried to tip very well because they worked hard of us. TE knew that I booked this trip as a birthday present to myself, and they gave me a birthday cake, and everyone sang "Happy Birthday" to me. I was deeply touched. Some things to be mindful of: 1) your room is not cleaned while you're a guest. It gets cleaned when you "check out", and they're getting it ready for the next group; 2) it gets cold at night. Because the sleeping quarters are below deck it's even colder. The heat is centrally located. You have to ask the crew to turn it on, and it is only working from 6pm - 10pm. So get your business done and crawl under the covers before the heat is turned off; 3) I already mentioned the food. If you don't mind these things then you'll have a wonderful time.

Really nice !

Very nice experience to discover Egypt and it's mysteries. The guides are really good in French, really interesting explications and left no unanswered questions. The food on the boat is really ... y good, every day we had different warm meals, the team was really dedicated ! Overall, we can only recommend the experience.

Exceptional value for money

It was a wonderful experience traveling with Terre d‘Egypt in a Dahabiya from Aswan to Luxor. The boat was very nice, food good and especially Service extremely nice. Here, the customer engagement by ... y Yasmin before the trip was exceptional. Overall the value for money was the best of all agencies!!

Great company, fantastic crew!

I have nothing but good things to say about Terre D'Egypte! From the very beginning, Suzan was very patient and understood all the requirements for my 20 person group. Whether it was the sights, ... , menus or transportation she was always responsive and planned a great trip!! The owner Michael is self-made and very honest. And last but not least, a big thanks to the amazing 17 person boat crew on dahabeya Josephine; it was the best service l've received in Egypt in the last 20 years. Highly recommend!

An extraordinary experience.

Any preconceived ideas about Egypt? They will all vanish hour after hour as you will sail down the Nile. You will experience the most amazing views at the tranquil pace of your beautiful water home. ... . Ali is the man. He is magical. He’s unfolded an invisible red carpet all along the way for us. He has allowed us to disconnect at the minute we set foot on the boat. Thanks to Ali’s incredible knowledge and passion for Egyptian history, we have traveled back in time thousands of years and we’ve experienced and enjoyed the many faces of Egypt. Thank you Ali for this magical experience and mostly, thank you for the gift of you.

Excellent guide, excellent crew, tightly-run ship.

Our guide, Ali, was highly personable, professional, kind, and exceptionally knowledgeable about Egyptian history. Furthermore, the boat crew were extremely attentive to our needs (as a family of 15) ... ) and were always approachable, even at odd hours or during exceptionally busy moments. Spending a wonderful time with Terre Égypt in Egypt

We had an amazing time in Egypt with Terre Egypt. Everything was well organized, and the guides, Amir and Hani, as well as the office staff, were exceptionally attentive. The crew on the Dahabiya ... a along the Nile was outstanding, creating a wonderful atmosphere. Classical tour

Could not be happier with our choice of Terre d’Egypte.

We just returned from a 9 day trip to Egypt with Terre d’egypt. We chose Terre d’Egypte because of it’s good reviews and because we wanted a Nile cruise on a smaller boat. We could not be happier with ... h our choice. There were only 28 guests on our boat with 10 Egyptian staff members and Ali, probably the best tour guide I have ever had. No only was Ali an expert on Egypt but he did an excellent job of managing our group seemingly without stress. But the thing that made Ali truly outstanding was his wisdom and big heart. It was not a luxury cruise but it was quite comfortable. The meals were family style with Egyptian food. Concerning our tours, Ali wisely scheduled the tours of temples either ahead of or after the larger cruise ships. Being a smaller boat allowed him to be flexible. Given the number of cruise ships on the Nile that was a real game changer! Absolute peacefulness is how I would describe our Nile cruise. We usually had 2-4 hours during the heat of the day to relax on the boat. There was plenty of space on deck to find a secluded space to chill alone or enjoy chatting with your new friends. We had a full schedule our first two days in Egypt. Our second two days in Luxor were full but the tropical garden setting of our hotel was quite relaxing. By the time we arrived on our boat we were ready for the relaxing vibe of just chilling on the Nile in the afternoon. Thank you Terre d’Egypte for such a memorable celebration of our wedding anniversary. We could not have asked for more.
