Nile at Christmas

We travelled to Egypt during the Christmas holidays for a special birthday of a family member. Terre D'Egypt was our tour operator and they absolutely mad sure every step of the way our trip ... p everything was taken care smoothly. Susan made sure our every need was tended to perfectly. Our friendly guide Khaled was super knowledgable when visiting all the sites. He was our English speaking guide and we also had an Italian speaking guide for the side of the family. Mahmoud was also a very friendly and was great to have two guides to be with us the whole trip which was a tour de force of Eight days. The four days of our Nile cruise were fantastic and our crew were very welcoming, charming and the food very good. Thank you Terre d'Egypte for making our holiday so enjoyable.

A wonderful, informational, relaxing, and high-quality vacation for a lifetime!

My expectations for this trip were far exceeded! From the beginning planning stages it was wonderful to work with Suzan on customizing our itinerary to every detail. She provided all the information ... n and pricing upfront and was happy to makes changes as needed. Our tours, transportation and lodging was all arranged perfectly, even being met at the airport upon arrival. Tours in Cairo & Luxor were very informative and detailed. We spent 5 days on the Dahabiya and it was wonderful! Very comfortable boat and according staff. We loved our balcony, the food and relaxation of the smaller boat. Khalid, our guide on the Dahabiya was a joy to spend time with. We taught us so much about Egyptian culture & history and always made sure we were having the best time. I would absolutely recommend Terre d Egypte to anyone looking for a high-quality, well planned, and relaxing vacation seeing the best of Egypt! Hope to return again in the future.

Memories for life

The Luxor area visits and the cruise offered by Terre d'Egypte were absolutely fantastic. These are memories i will cherish my whole life. Khaled, our english-speaking guide, was truly amazing ... g. He gave us explanations about the sites, before leaving us time to wander around and take pictures. This was great, as we could both get the knowledge and understanding of what we were seeing, but at the same time, enjoy the freedom to go around on our own terms. He understands that these were our holidays and not a classroom. The amount of information was neither too less or too much, perfectly fit! And he was always ready and eager to answer additional questions. More than this, over the course of the 6 days, Khaled became a friend. The sites visited from Luxor to Abu Simbel were absolutely incredible and unique in the world. The dahabiya (sailing boat with ~20 passengers) was the perfect way to go up the Nile: quiet, peaceful. We really enjoyed the life and rythm on board. The food was really good (I need to go on a diet now) and the whole crew was lovely (Hussein was such a show maker, but the whole crew was amazing!!). The boat was really comfortable, and the suite is a nice addition, with a very romantic little balcony, hidden in the back. I wish we could have continued this cruise over and over! Thanks, Khaled, the boat crew, and Terre d'Egypte for such a wonderful time!

Fantastic 5-day dahabiya trip from Luxor to Aswan

We went on a 5-day Nile cruise on the dahabiya from Luxor to Aswan last week and absolutely loved it! The boat had about 10 rooms and it was very nice to get to know all the participants during the ... e meals and excursions. We have booked our whole trip (2 weeks) with Terre d'Egypte - a big thanks to Cherine for all the help personalising it, incl. some days at the Red Sea and Cairo. When booking, we had asked for an English-speaking guide and we were super happy with Khaled who is very friendly, genuine, competent, efficient and funny! Since we were only 2 couples who booked an English-speaking guide, we had the luxury of being a very small group during the visits of the amazing archaeological sites and could ask as many questions as we wanted. The mixture of excursions (temples, villages etc.) was so varied and interesting (we recommend adding the additional excursions to Abu Simbel and the trip to the Nubian village as well) and in between there was enough time to relax on the boat and enjoy the scenery. The boat crew was fantastic (everyone loved Hüssein and the whole team) and the typical Egyptian food was great - we even ate the salads and fruits and had no issues. We really loved our trip, were so happy with our choice to book a dahabiya rather than a big cruise ship, and we were sad when the boat arrived in Aswan. Thanks again to Khaled and the crew!
